Why do you have to mount your TV?
If you will notice, a lot of people are already mounting their TVs on their walls simply because it gives them extra space. In addition, it looks sleeker and smarter instead of just placing it on top of a traditional TV stand.
Types of TV wall mounts
There are three types of TV wall mounts available in the market. We have the flat, tilt, and the full motion. Let’s briefly explain each type.
Flat TV wall mount
This is the best option if you do not need to move your TV. When you choose this, make sure that your installer will position the device at eye level. Otherwise, you will have a hard time watching and you can hurt your neck.
Tilt TV wall mount
Tilt TV wall mounts are advisable if you wish to place your device on a higher area.
Full motion wall mount
Many people are already using full motion wall mounts and it doesn’t come as a surprise. It allows you to use your TV in different areas of your home or office, as long as it is an open layout. All you have to do is to adjust it.
Things to remember when mounting your TV
There are certain things you have to consider first if you wish to use TV wall mounts.
Measure your TV
Make sure that you have ample space for your TV. Measure it first with the bracket before drilling your wall. Again, it would be best to hire an expert to guide you every step of the way.
Determine the type of wall
There are different types of walls and this will require different approach. For example you have wood stud walls. Then it is a must that you use wood screws or lag bolts. What if you have concrete walls? Then you need to have Tapcon anchors. These are important areas to consider if you want to successfully mount your TV. Most importantly, you have to check if there are electrical or plumbing works on the opposite side.
Is it worth it to buy quality TV wall mounts?
A lot of people are asking if it is worth it to buy the more expensive TV wall mounts. They believe that the cheaper ones will work the same. However, you have to consider its durability. Will it last long? Will it hold and secure your TV? Maybe you will be saving money for getting cheap TV wall mounts, but if it breaks – your TV might break too. Now, that’s more expensive.
